Former Jonzing Wold Recod signee, Ruger has finally confirmed rumours of exiting his record label by flaunting his own. The talented singer unveiled his own record label “Blown Boy Entertainment.”
Known for his numerous hit singles including ‘Dior’, ‘Bounce’ and ‘What If I’, the Afrobeats sensation Ruger whose real name is Michael Adebayo Olayinka was discovered and signed to Jonzing World Record by the younger brother of music mogul Don Jazzy, D’Prince in January 2021 in a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment, UK and Columbia Records.
With three EPs and several amazing hit singles to his name and three years later, Ruger bows out of contact with Jonzing World Record. He took to his verified Instagram account to unveil Blown Boy Records, He wrote:
Thank you Jonzing world and D’prince for believing in me and taking me this far. Wouldn’t have gotten here without you. It’s sad that I have to leave but God knows best. I am taking a big bet on myself this year. I don’t know it all but I know God will see me through. It is time for @blownboyent 💥💥💥
