Nigerian singer, Skales has just revealed that he was homeless when he left his former label Empire Mates Entertainment(EME) stating that his senior colleague and singer, Timaya was the one who later gave him a penthouse to stay in.
In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, he went through the struggles he faced after his 4-year contract with Banky W’s label, EME expired. According to him, he was shocked and unhappy when his contract was not renewed.
Raoul John Njeng-Njeng also popularly called Skales revealed that all he had was a Ford Explorer inside which he would crash later in the night after each day. Not until Timaya discovered his discomfort and asked if he would like to move into one of his unused penthouses.

He also stated that while he was in EME, only Banky W and Wizkid made money while he only made a little. As a young boy back in then, he had no guidance and was merely navigating through life all by himself, he said. He also mentioned that the house he stayed in while at EME was rented and had to leave after the deal was over.
Skales also mentioned in this interview his fallout with Wizkid as well as how a call from Olamide change his life forever.
