It has now become official as the organising body of the Guinness World record finally announced and congratulated Chef Hilda Baci as the new Guinness World Record holder for longest cooking marathon by an individual.

The body GWR through their official Twitter handle made the announcement with a video preview of Hilda Baci’s 100-hour cook-a-thon moments.

They admitted that Baci’s attempt to get into their record was so popular that their website crashed for two days due to the immense volume of traffic they received from her legion of loyal fans.

Hilda Baci was required to abide by several rules during her record-breaking cook-a-thon:

  1. There must be at least two items being prepared or cooked at any time
  2. A sous-chef is permitted to assist in prep work, washing up, and cleaning the kitchen area, but all the cooking must be done by the individual attempting the record

One of the most important rules for GWR food-related record attempts is that all items must be consumed after cooking. Hilda Baci also fulfilled this.
